Hi All. I had an ectopic pregnancy and had a surgery on sept 28, 2018. They were able to save my tube. I went a few days later to check my HCG levels and they rose so they gave me a shot of methotrexate on 10/3. My hcg levels finally starting dropping, however they are going down so slow! I just reached now reached to 5 and its close to 5 months since it all hapoened. I am ready to TTC (trying to conceive) but the dr is telling me to wait until hcg gets below 2. I’ve had what seems like periods along the way from Oct to Jan but my dr said that was impossible since i have hcg in my system. I am 12 days late this month but im thinking its because of the hormones and hcg. Is anybody going through something similar? They keep telling me to wait to ttc. Has anybody had their period with hcg in their system? Is it normal to take this long for hcg to drop? Please advise. This is such an emotional journey. This was my first pregnancy as well.
