Cystic fibrosis???

Question

Who have done a blood test and come out positive for cystic fibrosis carries during pregnancy? And have a healthy baby?

Answer

I know I am a carrier for cystic fibrosis... but in order for my baby to have a chance of getting it my husband would also need to be a carrier. If he was we’d have a 1/4 chance of having a baby with cystic fibrosis. Since my husband is not a carrier it can be concluded the baby will not have it.
If you and your partner are carriers you can have prenatal tests done that will tell you to a high degree of certainty if your baby is positive for cystic fibrosis or is just a carrier.
