My birth story
I was 41w and 3d and wanted a natural birth from the start of my pregnancy. So I waited a lot, my doctor told me that I should induce, after trying a lot of failed natural inductions attempts I finally accepted. In the morning I was going to get induced my contractions started, so I stayed at home and called the midwife that works with my doctor, she came over my place and started to examine me, I was having contractions every 4 minutes. When she was examining me she said that my baby was in a weird position, she thought her hand was on the top of her head which would be very difficult at labour... so she called my doctor and told me to go to the clinic and be examined again by her. I went right away and talked to my doctor, she thought it wasn’t a hand but the umbilical cord, either way would end up in a c-section, so she calls the hospital and send me there as quick as possible, because if my water breaks it could be very dangerous to me my baby, due to her position. I was very frightened, it all happened so fast, got to the hospital and they already started to prepare me for my c-section, about an hour later I was laid down in the operation room and she was born, in that moment when they put her in my chest, nothing mattered anymore. But they quickly took her and my husband out of the room, because I started to bleed nonstop it was awful... Some time later, all stitched up, bleeding under control finally was back again with my family while recovering from the anestesia.
Turns out it wasn’t a hand or the cord, but her nose and forehead, but I still wouldn’t be able to do it naturally.
Baby Agatha, born with 52cm and weighting 3,865 kg! I’m so in love and couldn’t be happier, I can’t even care about the pain and the way things happened ❤️
About a week later had to go back to the hospital to had a curettage done cause I was loosing a lot of blood again... A day after and I was able to go home. Now everything is finally alright!
This is my last bump picture, on the day I gave birth
