I have been in the hospital for 8 days. I am 10 weeks pregnant with a extremely healthy baby. I am not as healthy I have a severe case of hyperemesis gravidarum, my doctor says he has not seen one this bad since he was a resident. That white bag is my food and that purple IV is my central line so it goes all the way to s vein in my chest. I am connected to a heart monitor because my heart is working extremely hard and I get tachycardia. I cannot get up because I don't have strength. I have compressions that prevent clots and a catheter that allows me to pee. I'll try eating again in 4 days, so hopefully I can go home. My doctor thinks I will not feel better at least for 6 more weeks. Just talking leave without breath. Every pregnancy is different, and at least my baby is healthy.
