How long did it take u to get over your ex?

He cheated on me but I still miss what we used to have. I was just wondering how long it took you and if you had any tips on how to get over someone.

Been in a relathionship for 8 months, everything was peaches until he decided he couldnt do it anymore... well... it shredded me to bits. But I recovered pretty fast, it took me maybe 4-6 months to completely recover. And by that I mean I had gotten visibly better after 2 weeks from the break up, and the rest of the time I was treating myself like the queen that I am, and I still wasnt ready for any relationships at that time. I didnt want them, didnt need them. What I would strongly advise against is going out and running after rebounds, chasing other boys to cure your broken heart. It never helped anyone, only says a lot about your morals.
What opened my eyes after the breakup was thw fact that I had an entire world at my fingertips if I wanted it. I could do whatever I wanted, choose whatever college I wanted, making better plans for MY life not OURS.
Sometimes, persuing your dreams is better when you are solo because you wouldnt have to put them on hold for someone else.
My breakup was over a year ago and I am way over it, but I dont want a boyfriend yet. I am 19 now, I have a whole succesful life in front of me. I am not the type to date as many guys as possible, once I fall in love deeply, deeply that's for life. Soo, that's why I dont want a boyfriend, I am first going to finish college and then think about love. I want to take care of myself first. But of course, that is just a plan, which means I will not go chasing after love, if it finds me first than that is god's plan. And in the mean time imma take my time to perfect myself in every way possible. :)
That is my advice for you! You will get better soon, you will get stronger and than my advice us to be like me. It sounds narcissistic but it is from the heart ♡

It’s been like 4 months and I wouldn’t say I’m over him but I can definitely see that he wasn’t right for me. He wasn’t worth the tears especially because he cheated on me multiple times. I’m doing better than I was but I still have flash backs and I just want a hug from him even though I’m irrelevant to him and I hate him. Ugh 💔
