Tactfully asking others NOT to share your child’s photo on Social Media?

Question

With our first baby, we had family members post photos of our son before I was even completely finished giving birth! How do I tactfully ask people please DON’T  post pictures of our baby before we get to? I would like to announce the birth of my daughter before other people!!

Just tell them.  We decided while I was pregnant with my first we wouldn't post any photos of our children on social media- I've got into it with my BIL for posting photos of my son and reported them to fb and than told him if he doesn't respect my wishes he wasn't welcome over. Being honest is probably the best. When I would send photos to share with people via text/email I would say "As you know we aren't posting baby on social media but we wanted to share with you"

I actually let my parents announce for me on social media so that everyone knew baby and I were healthy and that way people bombarded them with questions. This also allowed me to go dark on social media for a few days and l I posted my own thing when we finally got to bring our babies home. 
I think everyone just does what works for them. I just see a lot of these posts and thought I would just offer a different perspective.

I asked them not to and they did it anyway. This time I'm legit saying if you post my kid before I'm ready itll be the last picture you ever take of him. If you cant follow my request after all the hard work I've put in bringing him into this world then you dont deserve to even see him. It's my kid.

Also, I don’t post pictures of my daughter on social media sites, same with her name, hints why I never say it on here either. So if I share pictures, ppl know not to post them publicly.

Don’t let them in the room the first day! Have bonding time with your child and go from there!

My friends and family already know that I am a very private person so it was easy for me to say I do not want ANYTHING posted. I have not announced on social media and neither has my family and friends.

We told the few people we were telling that we weren’t announcing it to everyone yet so that we could enjoy the baby without being bombarded with text messages and calls so we would appreciate them keeping it quiet until we were ready.

Don’t send them pictures until you’ve posted whatever you want to post.  FaceTime them so that they can see the baby but don’t send them pics.  
If they will be at the hospital just tell them firmly do not take pics, or take pics with your phone and tell them you’ll send them to them (but don’t until you’re ready).
