I want to get on birth control for a few reasons, I am sexually active but my friends have recommended it for me because of my extreme period cramps/acne.

I don’t really want to bring it up to my mom because 1. I’ve been sick and had to go to the doctors a lot lately which is expensive, and 2. I don’t want her to know I’m sexually active.

I’m in my later teens but it still feels embarrassing to talk about.

if anyone has some advice I’d really appreciate it :)
