Visits Day of C-Section

Erin

Okay, so I’ve told my husband from the beginning I don’t want anyone visiting the day of my surgery. I’ve explained to everyone, and they seem very understanding, and are being very respectful of what I’ve asked. Which to me, it seems like it’s nothing big of me to ask if anyone. I said that the second day after we’ve bonded a bit with the baby, and I’m rested up enough, they’re more than welcome to come for a bit. I tried to tell my mother in law, and she completely disregarded what I said, and basically said no. She said “I won’t come bother you, I’ll just have Tony take me to the baby, I just want to see her.” What she doesn’t understand is, the baby will be with me, unless there’s complications. I tried over and over to explain that I want the first day as just me and my husband, as it will be a very tiring day. She continued to say that she’s coming anyways. What should I do? Any advice? I’m at a loss, and I just want my plans respected. My husband said he won’t talk to her, that it’s up to me. Also, his mother is the type of person who does what she wants, and what makes her happy. Any advice helps at this point, I’m scheduled for the first so I’m running short on time without pissing her off. Sorry for the rant mommas!
