I mean it really depends. If he’s just curious there’s no harm in telling him as long as you know he will be mature about it & not judgmental. Me & my fiancé pretty much know everything about each other’s past. We’re both open books & just didn’t want to enter a marriage not knowing everything even the ugly. It’s up to the couple to agree with what you do & don’t want to disclose.

It was really therapeutic for me to talk to my partner about all the relationships I have had, and it was such a bonding experience to hear about his. It provided a deeper level of understandings of our unconscious tendencies with each other. It was half cathartic, and half filled with laughter as we finally could feel free of past mistakes we didn’t even know we were judging ourselves for, and also feel deeply understood and cared for, and laugh at how naive we used to be when we were younger.
Openness and honesty is among my core values and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I think it depends  because  especially  if you still stay in touch  with some then yes he should know why ,but if he doesn't  ask because it's  the past then no don't  stress over it

No one has any “rights” to any part of you. I think the guys who want to know that information the most are the ones that should be told the least. Insecure men will just abuse the information.

You should only share what you’re comfortable sharing with your partner. The only necessary information to share is your sexual health in terms of the last time you were tested for STIs and if you tested positive for anything. 
You do not have to share who your past partners were, how many their were, or what you did with them.
