Boyfriend?

I’m 14 and I’m a sophomore in high school. A lot of my friends and the people in my grade are older then me (16+) and all of them have had boyfriends and have been dating people since middle school. I’ve been talking to this guy who is interested in dating me. But when my parents found out they told me that I couldn’t date because I was to young and i ended up having to friendzone the guy, but I know he still likes me. Should I keep taking to him anyway or just move on and wait till later to start talking to boys even though I’m ready now.
