My induction birth story baby girl number 3
My due date was Feb 22nd...when I was 37 weeks I went and saw my dr he didn't like my blood pressure readings as they were high. So he decided to induce me. It was set up for Feb 11th at 530 am. I was def excited and ready to meet my baby.
Fast forward to Monday the 11th. All that night I couldn't sleep of course thinking abt labor and all that goes with it. I wake up at 4 am and start getting ready. Its raining and foggy as hell out. My hubby wakes a bit later and starts his truck for me. I have to take his car and go by myself and he will meet me there after he takes our oldest daughter to school. Im sad to leave my 3.5 yr old behind but I know she'll come with her daddy after. I arrive at the hospital and they know I'm coming so everything is in order I fill out some minimal paperwork and head to my room. Im already having contractions and they're pretty high but I'm not really feeling much. The nurse starts pitocin around 630 am. My contractions start to slow down..weird I'm thinking aren't they suppose to be more frequent...my parents show up and stay with me since they know my hubby won't arrive for a few more hrs. Im so glad they are here with me. My mom was amazing. I feel she did more than anyone there.
Hubby arrives with my other baby and we all just play the waiting game...I'm starving of course I hadn't ate anything and I'm not allowed to...around ten am my dr arrives and tells me to get ready he's gonna check me and break my water..I'm at a 4 and didn't feel much when he did break my water. He tells me contractions should get more frequent and intense. Boy was he right. Once they come they come full blast and right after one another...he says I can also get the epideral any time I'm ready for it. So an hr goes by and I ask for my epideral. Wow does it take forever for him to come. He's sweet and talks me thru everything but I'm dying in pain and with each contraction the pain seems more. I tell him hang on don't do it yet as I'm having a contraction. It was so hard to stay still and relax as I'm tryin to cope with the horrible contractions...finally its in but takes a while to fully kick in and jeez am I greatful for when it does. Relief finally. More waiting now...by 12 pm I feel like I am ready to push as there is alot of pressure...I call my nurse and inform her. She checks me and sure enough I'm at a ten. She tells me she will call my dr. Takes him a while to come He's a busy guy. By the time he comes its go time. I don't feel a thing as they put my legs in the stirrups. Such a strange sensation. They tell me to push when I feel the pressure. I push about 5 times all the while I'm not feeling much except exhaustion. Next thing I know she's here and I'm so happy. 7 lbs and 3 oz my biggest baby yet.
After I felt fine other than the shakes and I was freezing...I'm waiting for the epideral to wear off so I can shower etc..takes awhile..and when it does that's when the pain hits for sure. This go around was more painful than my last labor. But all worth it. 💗
Three days later I was having the worst pain ever! Tmi hemorrhoids were the worst i couldn't sit stand walk anything and everything hurt so much. Worse than the labor itself. I called my dr and had him prescribe me something for it. At that time I said no more babies after this experience. Now almost 2 weeks later I'm thinkin okay maybe one more !
