Anyone else taking prenatal vitamins currently and trying to conceive ? OR HAD taken them before finding out they were pregnant ?

They’re safe to take. All they do is supply your body with any vitamins you may be deficient in. You piss out any vitamins your body doesn’t need. They do not help with conception.

My ob recommends if you are ttc you start taking prenatals. It’s better to have them build up in your system and there is absolutely no harm to a non pregnant person taking them.

I started taking prenatal vitamins 2 months before we started trying as that is what my doctor recommended. 
Our baby is currently healthy and I am 14 weeks pregnant. 
Still taking them, obviously. 
It took us 1 month to fall pregnant after being on BC for 6 years.

You definitely should take prenatals before getting pregnant. The baby's spine is one of the first things to form, it happens before a test even shows positive, so the folic acid will help prevent spinal deformities and other early developmental problems.

I used to take them for general health. My gynecologist takes them and she doesn’t plan to have more children. She says they are fine for any female to take. She also recommends taking them at least 3 months before TTC.
