Gerbers?

Hey Mommass,
Have any of you started feeding your babies Gerbers yet?
My son turns 5 months in 2 weeks
And when we eat its seems like he shows interest to us eating. And thought if i could give gerbers already?
He holds his head pretty steady but doesnt sit up alone yet.?

I plan to wait until 6 months. My baby doesn't sit up enough at the moment. I am just not ready... meals are tough enough with 3 other kiddos needing things. Lol

You can do purées when baby can hold their head on their own and sit up in a high chair. It also helps if they loses their tongue thrust but that can also take a lot longer to go away for some babies.

we've tried a few now , she started with oatmeal , then we tried peaches . she didn't like peaches . we tried green beans , she ate them but oh my what faces ! we tried mixing peaches with oatmeal since she liked the oatmeal but nope still a no to peaches lol she doesnt eat a lot of it but she really is starting to like the spoon , she even tries to feed herself , no successfuly though .
