I lost my virginity at 14 and I have no regrets. My bf and I were in love and we had dated for one year. He was 15. We used protection and he was very respectful and never pressured me. It was my idea to do it on our 1 year anniversary. I think it helped me have a healthy attitude about sex. I feel it’s an important part of a relationship and I’m not someone to deny myself sexual pleasure because of social stigmas. That bf and I dated for 3.5 years total until I moved out of state for college. He wanted to do long distance but I wasn’t down. Now I’m happily married (to a different guy).

I was 14 (I’m now 28, married and pregnant with my first baby) No one can tell you you’re too young/old, it’s your own personal preference and when YOU are ready then go for it. Don’t let someone pressure you, don’t do it just because ‘everyone’ is doing it. When you are ready you will know and to hell with what everyone else thinks. Just make sure you use protection!! It only takes a second to get pregnant so always always use birth control/condoms.
