Crazy birth story

Da

This past Friday, Feburary 22nd 2018, I had a doctors appointment at 2:20. I was 39 weeks 1 day. The previous week, I was 1.5cm and 60% thinned and got a membrane strip. On this the 22nd @ 220 I was between a 3-4 & 70% thinned. She stripped my membranes again. I barely got out of the building before contractions started at 8 minutes apart lasting 30ish seconds. 20 minutes later they were every 3-5 minutes. 20 minutes later, they were every 2 minutes. I called my doctors office and they said to come back. I got their right at 5pm. Got checked and was almost 5cm. They sent me straight to the hospital. Got hooked up to monitors and admitted. An hour I ask for the epidural so they started getting stuff ready for that, which took almost another hour. So by the time I got the epidural, my contractions were every 1-1.5 minutes and it was about 8pm (the epidural 2placement took forever). Got checked, and was right at 5cm. Got the peanut ball between my knees. Started on my right side, got flipped to my left side and started feeling nauseous, and light headed. When the doctor came in I told her I didn't feel good and confirmed that I didn't look good. She called for a nurse immediately. They pushed something threw my iv for my blood pressure, which was 83 over 40something. It came back up and everything was ok. They did end up pushing another iv for my blood pressure but it hadn't dropped too low yet, but they didn't want it to again. I started feeling the pressure of my contractions through the epidural (just pressure though so I was still 100% pain free). Then I started feeling the need to poop. After 4 contractions with the 'need to poop' feeling, I was asking for the phone to call the nurse as she walked through the door. I told her I needed to poop so she decided to check me. She looked at me and said "do not push, do not move, do not even breathe". Got out her phone and called the doctor to come right away. At 11:10 PM my doctor said to give her a big push for 10 seconds. I did that one and 2 more. By 11:12pm, my son was on my chest.

So I pushed for a total of 2 minutes, and needed ZERO stitches!!
