Cheese sticks?

How long are Colby Jack Cheese Sticks last in the fridge? I bought my kid some about 2 and a half weeks ago and she has 2 sticks left and wants one and was wondering if they are still okay to eat?

My son once ate a bad cheese stick in the morning and puked the whole night. it takes long for the stomach to try and digest it before rejecting it. I spent until the next morning washing sheets, cleaning the floor and wall, and scrubbing chunks of cheese off his mattress. Don't risk it.
