My engagement ring came from a jewellers. We can't afford the wedding band I want right now, so I was thinking about buying a cheaper ring to wear for the time being (like a $20 one from Target). Could having the cheap ring up against my engagement ring somehow damage it?

To clarify, I will still be wearing my engagement ring and then buying an inexpensive wedding band to wear along with it. I am fully aware that I don't have to have a wedding band, but we have been married for 2 years and I would like one. Please, if you are going to comment, just answer the question that is asked. I get so tired of asking a simple question and then everyone reads too much into it and gives their opinions on things that I am not even asking about.
