My job closed the office today but I still took my daughter to daycare because I needed the break🙁 she’s 11 months and a ball of energy. I can’t keep up some days

No don’t be silly! Enjoy a day to yourself, you won’t get many 😁 and she probably enjoys going to see friends anyway!

I’ve done that in the past and I’d do it again. We both used PTO and took a date day once and baby still went to daycare. We pay regardless so why pay extra for a night sitter he doesn’t know when we can take him somewhere he knows and loves??

We still pay daycare even if they don’t go. If daycare is open they go. Even if we have the day off. Everyone needs a break sometimes.

That’s totally fine! My sil recently went from full time to part time work and still sends her baby to daycare full time. That’s totally understandable! I’m a sahm and love my days where I get some alone time. We all need it!

Wanting a break and still sending your child to nursery because the office is closed for the day doesn’t make you terrible at all. Everyone needs a break, we don’t get many as mothers. So take the opportunity to have a long nap, nice hot bath, lunch and a hot coffee while you can 😅🤷🏻‍♀️ the only time I’ve had to myself since my daughter was born 11 weeks ago is when I take a 10 minute bath and the day I spent in the hospital, yeah I missed her so much and it killed me to be away from her but the full nights sleep and eating food while it was still hot was nice. Don’t be hard on yourself 🤗

We’ve done that four times in the past month. We’re both teachers and have had 6 snow/cold days. Two of them we kept him home but the others we brought him to daycare. We pay for it either way and he had a good schedule there. Plus, it allowed us to clean without having him underfoot.

It’s best to keep her in a routine and for you to get a day off. Don’t feel guilty.
