Sooo i come from a very conservative christian home. i support people who are abstinent and i also support those who are sexually active. my parents basically say that sex before marriage is wrong and threaten to punish me and i dont know what to do. i can’t even talk about sex or birth control without my mom threatening me.

I’m a Christian, I believe in God, but I do not consider myself to be a religious person. My relationship with god is personal and it’s between him and I. Some people say I’m not living correctly so I’m going to hell, but that decision is NOT up to them, who are they to judge me? I have sex, and I’m not married yet but I’m in a committed, loving relationship that’s heading towards marriage VERY soon. If you want to get on birth control, go to your local health department or planned parenthood, they’ll help you and you do not need a parent with you. Regardless of whether or not you’re having sex, it’s important to be educated and to be protected, you never know what may happen. If there’s not a trusted adult you can talk to, try talking to a friend.. just make sure the information they give you is correct. Everyone says sex before marriage is a sin.. and it is, I can’t lie about that, BUT we are all sinners.. Every sin in Gods eyes is the equal, except blasphemy, etc. So as they’re judging people for having sex before marriage, that f word that left their mouth earlier that day is just as equivalent, some may disagree and that’s fine because my relationship with god is different than theirs and no one can tell me otherwise. If you really have no one to talk to, you can always go on google and educate yourself about your body and sex. I hope I could help. 😊

I'm 16 almost 17, always thought about saving myself for marriage, although I do belive in God, I didnt save myself and I've already have had sex before, only with one guy of course but he was someone I've know for a while, I care about him alot and I'm positive he does to me too, I was reading the other  comments and I agree with most of them, they make alot of sense, in a Christian's point of view. I know that even if we break up I would t regret giving him my virginity or taking his. Hes a great guy, just because you're married and an adult, doesnt mean you will last either, and it also doesnt mean you're ready for kids, I know I'm not so I do condoms and birth control. Instead of having sex maybe masturbate? It's your choice you do what you want but give it to someone you care about and vice versa

I grew up in a very conservative religious home as well but my parents approached sex a bit different than yours. Sex is a very common discussion in our house hold. We are very open about it. I remained a virgin until marriage and I believe I was able to do it bc my parents were so open about it. My parents always told me that sex was a wonderful experience and that it felt amazing when it’s with the right person. Sex is an awesome experience designed for a married couple because God doesn’t want us to get hurt bc for a lot of women it is a very emotional experience as well. It is also meant for a married couple because the only way to prevent pregnancy 100% is abstinence and if you’re not ready to raise a child it might not be the right time for sex. It is a beautiful thing that feels great with the right person. That’s how it was always explained to me.
