I’ll try to make a long story short.

After fighting with endometriosis & endometriomas for over 10 years, I’ve decided that I’m ready to part with my uterus. I made this choice mostly because the bleeding in the past few months is just beyond anything I can even explain. To sum it up, I’m having to wear Depends at this point because of the bleeding. Neither tampons nor menstrual cups help. They’re both full (& leaking a ridiculous amount) within 30 minutes.

I have to wait for things to settle down with work & kids before having the partial hysterectomy, so my OB/Gyn suggested that I try progesterone on days 13-25 of my cycle (to try to alleviate the issues until I can schedule the surgery.) He said it should help to regulate & shorten my periods & I shouldn’t bleed as much. I read some articles online that give me hope, but I’d like to hear from others who have tried it.
