Most effective birth control for teens?

This poll doesn’t include any form of IUD or getting your tubes tied because they refuse to do that for ladies my age and I’m curious about which one of these is the best option.

I mean statistically the implant is far more effective than the rest because it doesn’t have user error. Also it’s weird that they won’t let you get an IUD, I got one at 19

I think most teens don’t want something invasive, so the patch should be on here. I feel it’s more effective than the pill because  you don’t have to worry about taking it everyday at the same time for it to be effective, which is hard for teens. If you want long term then statistically the implant is most effective but you can experience a lot of unwanted side effects and irregular periods. It’s not on the choices but I would recommend the patch for teens.

General effectiveness isn't determined by age, but some methods are more friendly for a teen lifestyle. I started on the patch at 17.

I got the implant when I was 17 because that’s when I became sexually active but the pill seemed to be pretty common for teenagers too

I was on the pill and got pregnant at 18 so I’d suggest the implant, I’m getting the iud once my baby’s born so I don’t fall pregnant again 😅

It's a matter of preference, I think. I used to be on the pill, but I was so busy that I never took it at the right time. It also made my periods super light/nonexistent and thats terrifying when you are sexually active. I switched the the ring last April and have loved it!

I’ve got the arm implant and it’s been great so far, no crazy symptoms. But it did move waaaayyyyy too deep into my arm. I went to the doctor and he said he’s never seen one that deep before. But he said that it’s still just as effective that way, it’ll just be harder to remove. So I’m not sure if I’ll chose than one again honestly. It just depends on how crazy the removal is.
