Any of you Mamas already doing anything to ease labour?

What are you doing? First time mom here n I wish for the easiest labour

Absolutely nothing. I did it all my first pregnancy and still had a 25 hour long and stressful delivery with a nice tear at the end 😬 I’m not even gonna waste my time, whatever happens will happen is my motto for this delivery haha

Nothing yet except for walking I guess. Last pregnancies I did the raspberry leaf tea and evening primrose oil a few weeks before due date.

My midwife recommended raspberry leaf tea from no earlier than 32 weeks, drink it once up to twice a day. She said it takes a while to kick in but 8 weeks before due date is sufficient enough. It’s suppose to make labour shorter and ripen your cervix. She gave me an info sheet but I’ve misplaced it (pregnancy brain!). Also regular exercise helps just even 30 minute walks every few days. In saying this though I’ve seen a lot of helpful tips that aren’t harmful and natural, but there’s really minimal way to help ease labour, no ‘one size fits all’ or we would all be doing it 😆

I did prenatal yoga w my first and thought it was really helpful learning how to strengthen and be able to relax my pelvic floor. And the breathing techniques were invaluable. I also did prenatal aquacise classes to relax during pregnancy. Also great. 🤗

For now, I’m just doing kegels, deep squats, and going to the chiropractor every two weeks. 
I’ll start drinking red raspberry leaf tea in a couple of weeks. Then I go to the chiro once a week starting about a month before birth.

Keeping strong, walking & keeping fitness levels up. Raspberry leaf tea I drank around 4 weeks before due date. Read up about it, i actually went into labour with my first on his due date & although it was long 20 hours, I only had gas & air, & was in the birthing pool most of the time xx

I’ve been reading hypno birthing books, seeing a chiropractor, interviewing doulas, my husband and I took a massage for labor class (that was super helpful), visualizing the birth I want, keeping fit & moving, red raspberry leaf tea.
