Pcos, periods, pregnancy
Hello ladies.. I have been trying to get pregnant since May 18 however I wasn’t having regular periods. I was taking folic acid tablets regularly. Fast forward I went to go see my doctor in November to talk about my periods and how I’m nit having them she sent me for a vaginal ultrasound and when the results came back I was diagnosed with PCOS my heart sank. I did some research and discovered that 1 in 10 women have pcos and they do get pregnant. Never the less I asked the doctor what’s the next step for me she said I needed to have some swabs done before she can refer me to the fertility clinic so I had those done now I’m waiting for my letter. In this time I haven’t had my periods. Fast forward to February 5th I started my period the first one on 10 months I was so so so happy to see my period come. It was the most painful period I ever had. It lasted around 6 days. My question is as I can’t really track my cycle due to pcos giving inaccurate readings on the LH surge test. Is there anyway I can find out about my ovulation whilst I wait for my fertility clinic appointment? Is there anything I can do? Any help will be great. Has anyone else been through the same situation?
If you read all of this then thank you.
