Did getting your membranes stripped help you go into labor?

Yes! I was 41 weeks exactly and I went into labor 8 hours after my sweep.

I just had one last week at 40+5 days. Had some good cramping and contracting for a few hours after. But here I am still pregnant at 41+3 😭

I went to see my OB last Wednesday at 39+2 and I was half a cm dilated and he completed a sweep. I just went again today at 40 weeks exactly, and now I’m a full cm dilated and he did another sweep. Right after I went on a 2 mile walk with my husband lol. I’ve been feeling cramps, but I don’t think enough to kick start labor. I’m hoping she makes her arrival by the end of the week though or I’ll be having to get induced this weekend. I’m a FTM.

I am 40+2 and wasn’t dilated or effaced this AM at all, and have been having strong pre labor contractions now for 2 days and losing my mucus plug slowly...these contractions are killing me. I’m timing them but they are still 7-10 mins apart and lasting up to 1 min.

I had a sweep at 39+5 and had sex that night. By 5am the next morning, my waters had broken and I gave birth at 8.33pm

I'm 41 weeks today and getting my sweep in 3 hours 🤞desperately hoping it works although slightly terrified as I broke my foot yesterday so no idea how labour is gonna work at least the pain in my foot might distract me from contractions

Yep! Last pregnancy I had a sweep at 40 weeks exactly and he was born at 40+1. Doesn’t work for everyone but def did for me. I’m now 39+4 with my second and will probably get another one done at 40 again. Hopefully it does the trick!

I got a sweep done at 39+4, which was Thursday, and I still haven’t had baby butttttt I do honestly think it pointed baby in the right direction. Just not ALL the way there.
