Did your baby like the Halo Bassinet?

Question

Our first baby slept in the rock n play, and I know this is a big SIDS no-no. My mom offered to buy us any bassinet we want as a gift. Is the halo worth it? Would love to hear your experiences!

Our daughter loved her Halo Bassinet.👌🏾We loved the Halo because it was as if she was in bed with us. It was really convenient for those night nursing sessions and also convenient for my husband because he was on diaper duty at night haha. We had the Luxe Plus Series. It has a floor light, nightlight, vibrating motions, lullabies, etc. Of course, all of that is not needed, but it's nice to have. She slept in the Halo until she was about three months then she began sleeping in one of her pack-n-plays until we moved her to her nursery at six months. The Halo is amazing and I would highly recommend it! However, I know everyone does not have the same experience with it. We LOVED ours though!🙌🏾👍🏾

We originally got just a cheap travel bassinet and our baby HATED IT. We had to co-sleep for a little bit until we could figure out what to do, but we ended up buying a halo secondhand on fb marketplace and he sleeps amazing in it. It’s also super helpful because I can have him right next to me at the same level, and I can swivel him out of the way when I need to get up to pee at night. 100% recommend and wish that we had put it on the registry instead of trying to go with something cheaper.

Thanks for posting this, we put the base one without the extras on our registry and shockingly someone bought it. It seems huge and impossible to repackage so I too really hope my baby likes it. If someone is offering to get you a bassinet you might as well go with the best, I heard the halo is the best!

I bought a halo secondhand. Look on fb marketplace or secondhand stores too. You can often find them for half price. I like the way it looks in our room. Baby isnt here yet so I cant say how well he'll like it

My little girl sleeps so well in it. I love having her next to me and being able to see her right there without getting out of bed. Makes night feedings so much easier. We have the one with all the bells and whistles. I say just get the standard one with no buttons and extras. Its honestly not needed. Don't need the waterproof sheet. The mattress is already waterproof. Get a few sheets tho. I change her sheet every night. Just in case she gets sick I'll already be in the habit of changing the sheet and getting rid of the germs.

We love our Halo. It's larger than the other bassinet we have and baby stayed in it until 6 months. For us it was worth it for that alone. I also ended up with an emergency C-section so the folding side was a huge blessing. We also used the sound and vibration settings now and again.

It’s good but the part that’s supposed to be pushed down is a joke. It’s just a bassinet that gets close to the bed and moves out of the way when you want to get out of bed yourself. 
We used it for two weeks before moving baby to his own room. It was fine while it lasted 😄
