Has anyone gotten the early gender testing done and later found out it was wrong??

I went with the blood test for NIPT through my doctor. Any company that says it’s 99% accurate but offers a money back guarantee if it’s wrong just shows they are taking a 50/50 guess to me, but to each their own! Obviously it will be right for some and wrong for others otherwise they wouldn’t have a money back portion to it 🤷‍♀️

If you’re talking about sneak peek, mine was wrong. It said boy and I had a girl. I did the at home test. If I were you I’d wait until 13-14 weeks and do an early ultrasound. They did refund me after the baby was born and I sent in the birth certificate but thinking it was one gender for two months when it was the opposite was like a cruel joke. I’m my case I was happier with a girl but I had my entire mindset changed and bought boy stuff too. I’d love to see how many girls who are posting their sneak peek test will be bitching in a few months when it was wrong. Bottom line, not worth it

The only wrong results I’ve heard of are women who were told boy and got girl, which means they contaminated their own test. Mine was girl and correct. You have to scrub really well and disinfect your work space—and not do it in the bathroom!

I think it’s only accurate if you do it 100% correctly. Even the tiniest amount of male dna contaminating the sample will give you a wrong answer.

I wondered about this. So everyone kept asking me if i was getting it done. So it’s looking for abnormalities with the baby too along with gender, and my OBGYN recommended that if you’re high risk or over 35 that you should do it. But she said that if you’re not high risk you are more likely to get false positives back. So my doctor just recommended me doing the gender ultrasound at 20 weeks which is fine. But def think about it girl! Goodluck

I didn’t vote, but I did ask my doctor about this and she said she 100% does not recommend spending the money on the sneak a peek tests, simply because the slightest hint of male dna can contaminate the blood sample? She did tell me that some doctor’s offices offer the test (mine doesn’t, unfortunately), so if you absolutely need to know before a scheduled gender scan, ask your doctor because phlebotomists know what they’re doing. 
I really considered doing the sneak a peek test but I always consult my doctor lol, she told me that she has had many patients do the tests at 9 weeks and were told wrong.
