Positive vibes please 🤞🏻
Okay, so, I’m kind of a wreck and trying not to be. Trying to be positive but I need some extra vibes. This is also mine and hubs’ first so everything is scary to me.
According to my LMP (which I’m pretty darn positive was 12/19), I should be 9w5d today. First appointment was 2/19 and that doc found an empty sac but drew blood for hcg. 2/20 I went elsewhere for another opinion, new doc found a gest sac with a yolk sac & fetal pole measuring 6w4d, sac measured 7w1d. They also drew blood to check hcg and progesterone.
2/19 results: 35,623 hcg
2/20 results: 33,182 hcg & 9 progesterone
(Second doc wrote off decrease as diff lab usage)
Second doc prescribed 200mg of progesterone and follow up bloods on 2/22. Started the progesterone on 2/21.
2/22 results: 33,963 hcg & 11.2 progesterone
Follow up ultrasound is 2/28.
I’ve googled, and discovered that yes hcg should double every 48 hours but that’s very early on, apparently it’s increase begins to slow down between 6-8 weeks and doubling around 3-3.5 days and can begin to peak 8-11 weeks doubling every 5 days or so.
No ones told me prep for the worst, but it’s been hinted at heavily. I felt some cramping Saturday-Sunday but nothing unbearable, no backaches and no bleeding. It actually was much less noticeable today. Chalked it up to maybe a side effect of the progesterone unless it’s a sign of good progress.
Anyone out there with a similar experience and all faired well? I could use a little extra positivity with this stressful week. 💕
