Leap pad?

Anyone have kids with a leap pad? Thinking of getting one for my daughter and was wondering if it's worth it?

Tbh electronics at that age can be highly detrimental. There’s been multiple studies done on this. It ruins their development of social skills and the education doesn’t stick like it would if they had actual things in front of them(toys with shapes, games to teach colors, books, etc)

LMFAO I think I had like the first leap pad and leapster and they were my all time favorite. They’re so educational and 13 years later I still remember everything I learned and how much fun I had on them. Did I mention I actually still have mine somewhere in my basement 😂 do it!!

My son is two and loves his leap pad! I got the toddler books that teach shapes, colors, etc. He always has a blast and it surprisingly keeps him occupied for quite a while!

I got my daughter the leap pad that takes the books and uses a pen. She loves it. She was 2 when I bought it and is now 4 and still enjoys it. I’m hard set against her using devices with screens, even if it is educational. This is the only electronic device she uses. If you even want to call it a device.

My daughter had a leap pad. She liked learnings words and numbers on it. Since it’s been out since I was a kid I trusted it.

Depends on age and what you want her to use it for. The daycare I work at almost all the kids have iPads with the child lock on. They all have kid friendly Netflix and educational games. Mostly the 3s and 4s have tablets the 2s aren’t really interested yet. From what I’ve seen the leap pads get tossed aside after they outgrow them so I would probably just get a tablet so they can use it for longer if you’re gonna spend money on an electronic but that’s just me 🤷‍♀️
