Still friends with an ex?

How many of y’all are still friends with an ex? Are there still feelings for each other, but y’all know y’all arent meant for each other?

I don’t talk to either of my exes. My first relationship ended on bad terms and while my second one didn’t, I just don’t see the reason to continue a relationship of any kind with him. We had our time together, realized it wasn’t what we wanted from a romantic relationship, and went our separate ways. I also don’t speak to him out of respect for my current boyfriend, but even if I were single I don’t think I would talk to him.

I dont believe in keeping exes as friends. I dont do it, my husband doesnt do it and the only people I know who do are in a new relationship every six months because they cheated in the last one. It seems pretty unhealthy to me. If someone is an ex theres usually a reason for it. The closest I have to an ex whos a friend is the one on fb that asked if i was okay after a natural disaster hit my area. We dont talk other than that and live thousands of miles away from each other its not someone i slept with i keep actively in my life. Why would anyone keep up these "friendships" is beyond me. The most logical and crappy reason I can see is to use them (either for sex, money or just someone to abuse) and thats not right for any reason. How would you feel being with someone who was still friends with their ex? I would clearly not handle it well

I have always had a clean break from exes but I tried staying friends with my most recent ex because he insisted but it just turned into him controlling me, getting sex and a free therapist (and trying to cockblock me) all while he ran around with whatever girl he wanted/ did whatever he wanted. He was trying to have his cake and eat it too. 
I got fed up with that bullshit and blocked him on everything. In all honesty that’s the only reason guys want to stay friends with their ex as far as I’m concerned and I don’t recommend it unless you want to be annoyed and hurt.

My ex and I live together, separated under one roof, this is a new thing, and a circumstantial thing... it’s temporary, we’ve been separated for 8 years after together for 6 years, we have always stayed good friends for the kids... but right now I want to KILL him, he driving me fucking nuts!!
