Needing help

So I crashed my car last night, tow company got it and it went into the shop today. I gave some fake BS story but my mom knows it's all lies. How do I come clean about my addiction problem? Apart of me wants to stick to the story but I know I should come clean.. I just don't know how. I feel she won't understand and think it's all for "attention".
