Is this fair?

K so my husband y’all........
When he gets a day off I ask him to do laundry and he says “let me enjoy my day off”
Then when I take one day off because I am SICK AS A DOG he says “why didn’t you do laundry” and I say “what about enjoying our days off”
This guy says “well you were already not enjoying it because you were sick.” 
Like excuse me? I felt like I was dying on my couch today. I had cold chills and then sweats like it went back and forth with no break of normalcy for like six hours today. 
I don’t think this is fair. Am I being a huge bitch?

You’re not being a bitch. It’s a double standard and it’s not fair; he wants to enjoy his days off but you’re expected to get chores done on your day off.

That's some utter BS from his side.  My husband and I both work fulltime jobs, so we both do chores on off days. I get home around 5pm and he gets home around 6.30pm during the week, so I cook during the week and he washes up after. Weekends, I clean the house, he does the laundry and he cooks while I wash up after. If either one of us get sick we don't expect the other to do chores, just rest and get better.

You are not! That is ridiculous. It angers me how men think they are entitled to “relax” on days off or even every day when they get home from work. Um, I don’t get to relax when I get off work because I come home to a dirty, unorganized house that I clean literally every day, but the next day it’s back the same way because he doesn’t understand that if you just put things where they go, the house doesn’t become a disaster! 
Our laundry situation sucks because we don’t have washer/dryer hook ups at our house, so we have to take it all to the laundromat. He has done it maybe twice in 2 years, and he doesn’t do it right but gets mad when I try to give specific instructions.

Some men just don’t get it. You should be relaxing and sleeping and that’s enjoying it. House chores can wait it’ll be there whenever you’re ready but for now focus on feeling and getting better.
