What is going on? Please help!
I’m going to try to make this as short as possible but it’s still probably going to be a little long. I was on Sprintec for about 10 months, had my period Jan 26-Feb 1st. On Feb 1st I started Microgestin. Feb 8-11 I had light bleeding which I figured was just breakthrough bleeding. Then I started to get symptoms. Mainly normal PMS symptoms like bloating, fatigue, cramps, mood swings. I also started to get some pain in my ovary which I figured might be a cyst as I’ve gotten them in the past. The only thing that was really weird was that instead of feeling sore, my boobs were really tingly and sensitive and I would get sharp pains. And I noticed I started producing colostrum again (which I’ve ready can be caused from a drop in hormones so I didn’t worry too much). But to be on the safe side I took a test about 6 days before my period was due (I know, too early). I thought I saw a line but figured it was an indent since it was early. On 2/21 (three days before period was due) I called my gyno and they had me come in just for a urine HcG test. It was negative and when I got home I noticed I had some light bleeding. I thought it was a little strange as I’ve never started my period that early but assumed that’s what it was. Well it stayed light and on 2/23 it was just spotting and then stopped. Then I woke up on 2/24 (the day my period was due) and all day and on 2/25 every time I wiped there was some spotting. By now my boobs feel normal (just a little sore) but I’m still so fatigued, I’m occasionally bloated, still moody, still crampy and it’s going into my lower back, and the pain in my ovary is even worse. I took a test again this morning just to be extra safe and it was negative again. What is going on?? I’ve changed birth control in the past, completely stopped it in the past, etc and I’ve NEVER had this bad of a reaction. Could it really just be from the birth control switch?? I’m debating on calling my gyno again. I feel like they’re going to tell me that that’s all it is and that I’ll just have to wait for my body to adjust. Anybody have any tips or any idea as to if this could be something else?? I’m so tired of feeling awful!
