BIRTH CONTROL!?

I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost a year and obviously were sexually active. I’ve been wanting to get birth control yet my boyfriend is against it. He says he doesn’t want to but me through all the side affects that birth control comes with and that he’ll be extra careful to not get me pregnant. However, I really don’t want to end up pregnant and I feel like I should go behind his back and get it anyway to be safe? What do I do !?

Men should have absolutely no say in birth control whatsoever... it’s not his body, so he doesn’t get an opinion.
Does he want you to have to go through all of the side effects of pregnancy too? 🙄
Let me guess, he’s also against condoms...
Get on birth control and honestly, have a serious conversation about your body and your rules. Sounds like he could be controlling and the whole thing is a red flag!

First off I dont think you should have to lie to him .  Tell him that your going on the pill and he has no choice to accept it ... it's your body and it sounds like hes trying to control what you do. Never leave your body in someone else's hands. He has no say in what you put in your body to protect yourself

I don’t understand why people are telling you to leave him. My husband doesn’t want me on BC because of the possible breakouts and weight gain and other side effects especially since I suffer from depression and he doesn’t want anything to make it worse.and I was hesitant about it anyways. He agreed to use condoms and the withdrawal method has been working for us for 5 years. Just because he has an opinion about BC doesn’t mean you need to break up with him. These people are sensitive as shit

You can get the nexplanon. Its a little implant in your arm and its just as effective as getting your tubes tied. This implant doesn't mess with your horemones like other forms of birth control do. It stays for 3 years and whenever you want to take it out, your fertility bounces right back. 
I got mine and it was totally worth it. I've had it for a couple months and the only things ive noticed so far are - no period, and I'm a little more emotional than I used to be. Meaning I just cry when I see something super cute or a sad movie. But that's about it. No weight gain, no pregnancies (I've also stopped using condoms altogether since I got the birth control), no psycho mood swings.

I have been with my SO for almost 5 years and I’m not using any birth control. Yes I should I know (don’t come at me). I track my cycle very carefully. But in my opinion you should get on birth control and don’t follow my steps 😂

Grt the birth control. Its much better than having a baby if you're not ready for that. Yes there can be side effects, but the great thing about birth control is, if it doesn't work with your body you can choose a new form.

I've had nothing but positive side effects from the patch 🙌🏻 Don't let him dictate what you do and do not put in your body, plus there's the copper IUD which doesn't have any hormones. He's not the one that will have to carry a child for nine months if he's not "careful" enough (assuming that you would keep it, which is still YOUR choice, not his).
