If you’ve been induced before, what was it like?

I’m scheduled to be induced this coming Monday March 4th at 40 weeks 2 days, if I make it that far. I’m a ftm so I don’t know what to expect. I’d love to here your birth stories if you’ve been induced! Good and bad I want to hear them all. I plan on doing this without an epidural so if any of you have done the same I’d love to hear. Thanks ladies!

I loved my inductions and am praying my doctor will induce me on March 4th, too, which is my due date! I'm so ready to be done! I was induced at 39 weeks and 37 weeks. The first (39 weeks) I had a Foley balloon (not comfortable at all) and they gave me stadol to help me rest - I was 1 cm and hard when they started. Foley came out about 12 hours later. The second time I was 1 cm but soft and it was my 3rd baby so they just started pitocin and broke my water. Both times I had baby about 6 hours after they broke my water.

I planned to have unmedicated births both times but both times I had to be induced and the drugs they give you to induce make contractions hurt way more than they do without the drugs. So both times I had an epidural. 
First birth, my water broke but I labored naturally for almost 18 hrs with no change in my dilation so they gave me pitocin (even though my water broke on its own and started my labor naturally, it’s still considered an induction). I ended up progressing great and had my baby vaginally with two pushes. It was great!
Second birth, we started induction with no natural signs of labor. Long story short I was in the hospital for 3 days with my cervical lip swelling due to her head being positioned slightly wrong (every time I’d contract, her head would hit my cervical opening and make it swell, which worked against the dilation that was happening). Because of this I ended up with a c section. Then that c section turned into a major hemorrhage and a blood transfusion and me being in ICU for a day and a half. 
And then a uterine infection about 3 weeks postpartum that landed me in the hospital for 5 days lol 
Clearly that birth sucked. 😩😂
It can really go either way, just be prepared for anything and try not to stress if things don’t go as you planned!
