Weddin/Shower gift

Hello, I have been to tons of weddings and wedding showers. As well have taken part in several weddings including my own. When we got married we were surprised on who didn't give us gifts also what we recieved as gifts. How much do you generally spend for a wedding shower? How much for a wedding?

We normally purchase $30-$50 for a shower gift. For a wedding $50-$100 in cash.

I have a cousin's wedding coming up and curious on what to gift.
