Did your babies bruise like this when crawling?

She is 99% of the time on soft carpet. The other time, tile. But hardly ever. I'm guessing she crawls over toys or something. But I just think the bruising is excessive. (Pic of her leg)

Is she anemic ? I use to bruise like that as a kid but I was anemic. My son is too but not as badly as I was and he marks pretty easily.

My son didn't bruise like that while crawling BUT now that he's 2.5 and jumps in and out of his bed, he's constantly bruised.

No this has never happened.
Bruise here or there, but that's kinda extreme.

Well my baby looks like this. I thought it was normal cuz he's constantly tripping on nothing but now I'm thinking it's not normal.

Absolutely not. We never had carpet in our home when our daughter was crawling either and she's always been very accident prone. She rarely has a bruise even now as a very active toddler. Is there someone else who watches your child during the day? I work as a Behavioral Health Professional and am trained to recognize signs of abuse (I also worked as an infant/toddler teacher for almost 10 years and never witnessed something like this in that setting either). Bruises on the knees are common for babies and young children, but those ones below the knee and off to the side are not. And crawling doesn't cause enough pressure to create a bruise like that either. I'd be speaking with all caregivers if there are other people who watch her. If not, then I'd be speaking with a pediatrician to determine if she has low iron levels.

From what my ped said, bruises from the waist down are common in babies and toddlers. Anemia becomes a concern if it’s everywhere.

Oh yeah my son was the same when he firat started crawling. He is not anemic and it went away when he got better at it.

Mine bruises too, but not quite that bad. She’s also mostly on carpet. I also bruise easily (especially around my knees) so I wouldn’t worry too much.
