My husband melted my crockpot and is trying to fix it 😭

I have a tenancy to forget to plug my crockpot in, I turn it "on" go to work and come home to a cold crock full of garbage. So now I plug it in the night before and turn it on in the morning.

Well today I plugged it in and sat it on our stovetop (we have a flat stovetop and no counter space) my husband was making supper and accidentally turned on the burner under it 😭 we heard a pop and smelled the plastic burning.

He's trying to fix it and I don't have the heart to tell him that it's not going to be safe to use.
