Hi! Long story short for you... my daughter fell unwell with a cold. Following on from this she became really constipated (not sure what caused it) and was very rarely passing extremely hard painful stools. We have been giving stool softener to help when she does go, however they were that bad it’s like to holds it in until she can’t possibly anymore and then she cries the entire time she poops like she’s in pain. She also gets worked up about it before hand as if she’s scared. Just to add, she’s now also obsessed with my checking her nappy, she comes to me and says “mama poo check” literally every half an hour and won’t stop until

I have looked even though I know she hasn’t been.

Is there anything I can do about this? I feel so sorry for her and she gets super stressed out about it but other than trying to distract her when she does actually go and giving her a softener I’m out of ideas!
