I kept seeing this picture circulating not knowing it had anything to do with an article I read earlier. Please, be careful and watch the children. My son doesn’t use YouTube but I know a lot of babies do. — from the comments it seems as if they’re watching a regular show (peppa pig, Mickey Mouse) and the character pops up.

My husband just told me about this. I’m so over iPads, phones, electronics. They’re just not safe anymore. Thanks for letting the mamas know. Recently, I realized that I was far too trusting of YouTube kids; that I need to be in the room with my seven year old while he’s on it. But I’m done with it anyway.

My son is only 17 months but the amount of students I’ve had who are allowed on YouTube without supervision is astounding. It’s not a safe platform for children. Protecting them is more than just keeping them from physical hard. Small children shouldn’t be seeing these kinds of images. It’s not healthy developmentally. So sad.

Thank you for this! I knew this was happening but didn’t know exactly how! YouTube also stopped comments on family channels or any channels with children due to the large pedophile ring they caught

I saw this on a different post at four AM and was totally f*cked for sleep for the rest of the night. What little sleep I did get was very uneasy (I’m pregnant, so hormone fueled nightmares are already kind of a thing). As a mother, I’m horrified. My three year old son doesn’t watch a lot of YouTube anyway, and what he does watch I usually watch with him, or my husband does. We’ve never seen anything like this. But I just can’t understand why anyone would want to do this to innocent children. They’re just sweet little ones watching characters they love. What the hell is wrong with people? 
The idea of this thing talking to my son and frightening him makes my blood boil.

Wow. So I had to look it up because crazy. But wow is all I can say. My son loves YouTube when we are in the car.  One of the only ways he doesn’t cry.
