I just went through my second induction (forth child) I don't think it was scary. It did give me relief to know the end date and I liked knowing I'd be at the hospital in time for my epidural which I got as soon as they would allow me to. I some what prefer it because it's so controlled.

I had my baby on Valentine’s Day. I was induced at 37 weeks, they gave me cytotec at 11:30 and by 2:30 my water broke. I labored for 14 hours without pain meds and only dilated to 3 😭 it turned into an unplanned c section. Everybody is different! I’m a first time mom but my body really wasn’t ready for labor.

I’ve been induced 2 times and both times were a decent experience but I also took the epidural immediately. Literally the only downside for me was that I ended up with a “hot spot” for 20-30 minutes during labor where I could feel the contractions in one spot. They just gave me extra pain meds to help it and it didn’t come back. The nice thing about induction is having an end date. Kind of a prep deadline. There was absolutely nothing scary about it to me. I also didn’t have any complications with the birth itself though. Everyone is different. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mine was a disaster and you couldn't pay me any amount of money to ever do it again. It just depends on your body and your pregnancy and the reasons for induction.
