I would go with a piece of placenta. How far along were you? I had pieces that looked like that.

Looks like a very tiny placenta? I miscarried at 12 weeks (baby stopped growing at 10) and our placenta looked just like that but much larger.
I'm sorry for your loss. I would still call your doctor because we all here are just guessing and they could maybe get some answers for you via testing.

So sorry for your loss. 
That's likely just a clot that didn't release earlier. I passed a lot of my clots the first day on my mc but some passed days later. Hopefully your bleeding stops soon. If you start getting really bad cramps or run a fever get medical help asap. You don't want to any left over clots causing an infection.
