Bosnian interracial relationships

I fell in love with a Bosnian guy and things between him and I have always been great. But his parents hate me because he tried to run away to be with me once ( I wouldn't have let him) and because I am a different ethnicity/ religion. He's basically at the pont where he's giving up and going to accept that one day he'll have to marry a Bosnian woman. I love this man and I know he doesn't want to give me up but he loves his family and doesn't want to be cut off by them. I don't want to give up either because I wanted to marry him (we're in college). Any advice or prayers would be appreciated
