Our families live a good ~3hr drive away, both are wanting to visit straight after birth. I’ve requested that they wait until we are home from the hospital - hopefully it’s an uncomplicated birth 😬! I’ve never had an issue with visitors but I am worried about how long they intend to stay for. Our house isn’t big, so we’ll have to rotate when and whose parents are actually here. Even then, I’m thinking it would be overwhelming to have them here throughout the day (or even days)! Do you think it would be unreasonable to request they come and leave at a certain time? E.g no earlier than 11, and no later than 5, and no more than over a 2 day period?! Is that being too harsh or too generous?

It’s just something I feel I should get sorted for the first few weeks while I’m healing and adjusting to breastfeeding... as a FTM I’m not too sure how comfortable I’ll be with having people with us all day. I’m not secure or confident in that respect.... I’d love to know how other people managed this?!
