Braxton Hicks?

Question

I have been having rolling contractions off and on this morning. I am only 18 weeks, is it really possible these could be Braxton Hicks? I never experienced them with my first.  I have an ultrasound on Friday so thought I would also ask the doctor then. Thanks!

It could definitely be. I'd call your doctor tomorrow just to put your mind at ease. My Braxton Hicks started around the same time for this pregnancy which is my second. My doctors (I see regular OBGYN and high-risk OBGYNs) said when this happens get off my feet, drink a lot of water, and take it easy. If it only happens 4-5 in an hour and don't increase in frequency or duration, it's normal and it's just my uterus preparing. If it's more than that to call them or go to ER. 
They said drink a lit of water but keep my bladder empty (fun advice). Turns out like someone else mentioned, that it can happen if your bladder is full. That's why I probably get them most in the middle of the night and they wake me up.
The doctors also told me that often second+ time moms know their bodies better and realize what is Braxton Hicks. And that our bodies start preparing for labor and delivery way earlier.

I've been experiencing this and I'm 20+4 weeks and my dr has said its growing pains the baby is getting bigger and having more movement. But I'm also a high risk so if they're more frequent then normal then you need see your Dr. asap just to make sure the baby is okay...

I had them from 13 weeks on with my first. On my second now & they aren’t nearly as frequent & didn’t even get any until more recently. My doc said they can happen because of something as simple as a full bladder.
