IUD question
I had a copper IUD inserted about thirteen years ago. We have never conceived to our knowledge since. We have frequent unprotected sex. My husband asked if we should have another IUD placed, because technically they only last five years. My feeling is that if it isn’t broke, don’t touch it. It has been effective and never caused a bit of trouble. Our sex life is healthy. My periods have gotten a little tougher on me over the years, but I also have Lyme and that doesn’t help. What are your thoughts on the IUD. Replace it or leave it in place?
