What do you guys do

Question

For when your babe is sick? My daughter has a really bad runny nose and a slight cough. And her doctor has said there’s nothing we can do about it. His practice has well declined. So I’m curious if your doctors have given advice! I hate seeing her this way.. 😞

Nothing you can do when they are this little. Just use a humidifier, keep baby propped up when sleeping, use a nose sucker, etc. sorry your lo is sick!

My son has been sick so much lately. We do saline nose spray and nose frida, humidifier by his bed, elderberry syrup, zarbees chest rub on his chest and bottom of his feet (cover with socks). These all seem to help him a lot. My doctor said we could give him honey now that he’s over 1 for his throat with an herbal tea in his sippy. I haven’t tried that yet but sounds like it would help too. Also I let mine nap as much as he wants during the day because they need the rest to heal.

In addition to what everyone said ☝🏼, I give camomile tea. She seems to like it, keeps her hydrated and a bit calmer. She is currently teething so bad😞

My daughter goes to daycare and it unfortunately happens a lot. We use humidifier in her room, change cribs sheet often at least I do 2-3 times a week. Saline up the nose and use the nose frida, she hates it but it works really good. Keep them hydrated and we do give Motrin at night before bed. Bath every night to get the germs off. I put a chest rub on her she seems to like. I was her hands immediately when she gets home too. 
Also be sure the cold doesn’t turn into a ear infection. If they have a runny nose for too long there ear canals get all that drainage in them and turns into a infection. My doctor told us how their ear canals right now are more parallel when there young causing little ones to get those often.

Humidifier, saline nasal spray, nose frida and we use the zarby’s chest rub that smells just like Vick’s. Nose frida also has a bath bomb that I use in his baths at night(I might use one bath bomb for three days). It sends out vapors that help clear their noses up. We also have brought  him into the bathroom while one of us showered so the steam can help with the congestion. Since his own baths aren’t hot enough for steam that seems to work well.

Our pediatrician suggests that colds like this can last up to 2 weeks. We use a humidifier, boogie wipes and mist, Johnson’s vapor bath, and Maty’s rub on her feet. It clears up eventually and it’s okay as long as they’re not running too high of a fever. 
It’s really inevitable this time of year and we take it as it comes.

I don’t really do anything when my girl has a stuffy nose.. just keep it wiped and keep her hydrated. Best for them to fight little bugs off. It builds up their immune system
