Birthing Plans??

So today I been doing so ready to start being more prepared...When I realize I have no idea what kind of birthing plan I have. I never put much though into it? Am I the only one that has no clue on where to start on a birthing plan!!

Educate yourself on the different options, but go in with an open mind. 
For example, don't be so set on epidural that you don't research and learn about other pain management- just in case you are unable to get an epidural. Read up on c-sections if an emergency leads you to that. Even look up unassisted births in case you don't make it to the hospital/or midwife can't make it to you in time.

You can either pay the $15 and build your birthplan there (it’s super cool and really easy), or you can just use it as a free resource to write your own birth plan! 
It answers all the hard questions and gives you non-biased info on pretty much anything and everything you’d need to know

You’ll want to know what your doctor and hospital allows as well. 
Not all hospitals offer different pain med options, just iV narcotics and epidurals or some offer the nitro gas
Some hospitals have birthing balls, tubs, peanuts, some won’t let you deliver in any position beyond on your back. Some doctors let you eat others don’t besides candy and juice. 
Now is a great time to become familiar with what options are out there and available but don’t “lock in” anything. Babies come up with their own plans.

I am a FTM and have had so many friends and family tell me that baby had a different plan then they made hahaha so I decided I’m letting baby call the shots as long and they arrive happy and healthy I’m fine with what happens 🤗 BUT I also know a few people who said the birth plan was perfect and everything went according to plan!

My birth plan for my 13month old was mainly no epidural. As I am terrified of them.  I was able to go without. This baby I'm hoping to do the same and as well as being able to have access to a birthing tub.  Which I think would be a really cool experience. But if it doesn't happen oh well. Labour is unpredictable 😂

There are free online birth plan checklists and I found one when I was pregnant with my 1st kid that let me customize it and then print it out.

It's really early to be writing out a birthing plan yet but it's a good time to start educating yourself.  When you ha e your prenatal class is probably when you'll really focus on that which i believe usually isn't until the 3rd trimester
