Anterior/Posterior Placenta VISUAL

Jo

I see A LOT of women asking about Anterior Placentas. So here’s to help you out.

-Anterior Placenta is still NORMAL. There is nothing wrong with having one.

-Anterior Placenta can act like a cushion. As you can see, baby has the placenta in front of it, between baby and belly, which “cushions” a lot of it’s kicks and punches. This is why you may feel the baby a little later than other moms who have a posterior placenta.

-Having an Anterior Placenta does not mean you won’t feel baby! You will! You may notice more kicks around the “corners” of your belly, or the far sides, but you will still get to feel your baby.
