Feeling really positive and optimistic
Some of you may have seen the post I made in February regarding depersonalisation, regular nightmares and thoughts of death.
I am just posting to say that I have made some changes in my lifestyle and I am now two weeks nightmare free!
I’ve started doing regular exercise (jogging, strength training and bouldering) every day and I must say, this is the strongest and most optimistic I have felt in about three years!! I’m taking care of my diet again, getting more sleep, doing better at work, everything.
For anyone going through similar symptoms I described in my previous post, hang in there. I know how difficult it can be when depersonalisation makes it impossible to do daily tasks, or when you go so deep down that spiral that all you can think about is how you just don’t want to exist.
I used to think that I would never ever be genuinely happy, and yet I have always been one of the most smiley, happy go lucky people you would ever meet.
Please just know that there is always hope, and if you need help please ask for it because there will always be someone out there who cares.
