How much did you pay to build your home? How big is it?

It all depends on where you live (what country, what state, what city), where you are building (suburb? Rural?). Do you already own land or are you buying the land in addition to the house? Do you have to pay to run water and electric to the property? If so, how far do the companies need to run those lines? How big of a house, the layout, the neighborhood, HOA and building codes and more will determine cost of building vs buying an existing house if that's what you're looking at.

Idk the exact square footage but when i got my house built its was about 975,000$. Yea its pretty big. Im not rich. I swear. I just dont buy anything so im good at saving.

We are building right now. It’s 2038 sqft, 3 bd, 2 bth, a game room, .28 acres. The total cost is $255k.  We put $1836 down of earnest which includes 10% of structural upgrades and $500 to hold the lot. Then 20% at the design center which was about $1900 ($7,000 of upgrades).

I'm in Western Australia. It's costing just over $700k but it's also a 450sqm house, 5 bed, each room with a walk in closet, 3.5 bath, 2 kitchens, 2 scullery, 2 lounges/dining, games room, activity, theater room, study, on a 1050sqm property.

We are building our home now! We are spending $270,000 but the plans/land appraised at $350,000. It has 2100 sq feet on the main floor and 1800 in the basement. We also have a 5 acre lot that we bought a few years ago.

Don't know exact sqft but it's a 2 storey with 2 car garage, finished basement, 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and my walk in closet is 12 ft by 22 ft. We paid about 275,000. This is without the cost of land though. We already had the land. Also, Sorry about throwing the closet in there to brag everyone. I just LOVE my closet!
